It only *seems* over the top

Yes, we have a gigantic stroller. It is over the top. Over the top enough that parent bloggers mock our stroller. They do not live in the Netherlands.

What you see is the rain tarp. Yes, we actually use it because we walk in the rain. Everyone walks in the rain over here because it rains a whole lot. We also have a bug net. You need that because we like to walk with Aldus; we live near two national forests; we end up walking around in the forest. Forests have bugs. We have a bug net.

As not many people talk about actual bad things about the Bugaboo... a few things I have noticed that bother me:
- it is hard to get things in/out of the basket under the stroller. Hard in the "not designed right" way
- the under basket is also designed in such a way that it hinders the fold up process.
- I think that the sleep basket part of the stroller needs to have a thicker sponge/mattress. This is for warmth, not comfort.
- the front wheels have a nice "locking" feature. Unfortunately the locks are on the back of the wheels.
- the screws that adjust the push-handle height *will* break before Aldus grows out of the stroller frame.
- we have a station wagon. The stroller and frame take up the entire back of the station wagon. Really, this thing is sorta huge.

There are other small things, but in general, mostly, around 98% of me is really quite happy with the stroller. And this comes from a person who has used a grand total of 1 stroller. So caveat emptor.
