It is fascinating watching Aldus develop facial expressions. I suspect that what is happening is that the muscles are developing and what we see are just (or mostly) random movements. I am not sure what could cause so much concern in an infant. The obvious signals (change me, feed me, monkey i said dance) are tied to reflexes; but these other expressions are harder to pin down especially because they are fleeting. I would feel more confident that Aldus was display higher emotions if this look was not followed by a smile and then a frown and then a bit of blankness in the space of 5 seconds.

Upside: baby facial acne is going away (yay!). Downside: it seems to have travelled to his shoulders (boo!).

Embarassing fact for when he is older: Aldus was born with hair on his shoulders. Not light hair, invisible stuff. But real, honest to god, hair should bits just above the shoulder blades. We should have taken a photo of it, but honestly, it sorta grosses me out. Luckily, it is going away. Unfortunately (while on the topic of hair), Aldus is starting to lose the hair on the back of his head. The spot that rubs when he sleeps is thining and he has what seems to be weird pattern baldness. At least the hair is not migrating out of his ears and/or nose.
