On the last day of my parents' visit, we met them in Amsterdam and went out to lunch. This was a pretty good restaurant just off the Spui. Or was it near the Dam? Anyway, I'll have to give you a rain check on the name. Aldus slept through most of lunch, then had to have a bite to eat of his own before we left.

Not being one to like drawing attention to myself or, you know, show off my boobies in public, it's been kind of a fun adventure learning to breastfeed in public. The key has been to tell myself that the Dutch are much more accepting of this than Americans. I have no idea whether or not it's true. But if I tell myself that, then I can sit on a park bench or in a quiet restaurant and feed Aldus without worrying too much. Unfortunately, trying to find places where there aren't many people in this densely-populated country has also meant sitting in the car in a parking garage to feed Aldus on many occasions. I wish I had the cajones to really do it in public without worrying. -ksy
